NOTE: The 2008 reunion was cancelled due to Grandmama's inability to attend. The next reunion will be held in 2009, on a date to be determined.

Reunion 2007

2007 Family Reunion Minutes

The first annual Lewis Family Reunion was held on September 8, 2007, at the New Elm Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Attending were:

Heather, Rob, Levi, and Nyla Lewis

Members of the group participated in a game to identify baby pictures of family members. No prize was given for this event. The great-grandchildren competed in a game to locate family members who had met specific criteria. Henry was the first to turn in a completed game sheet. He was given a can crusher as his reward.

Helen brought goody bags for each of the great-grandchildren.

The group decided to continue holding the reunion on the second Saturday in September and to have a Christmas gathering as well. These assignments were made for the September 13, 2008, reunion:

Lee and David Causey will bring paper goods, plastic utensils, and ice.
Becky and Matt Lester will bring soft drinks.
Angie and Brad Roberts will provide goody bags for the children.

The group collected $202 and voted to give half to the church cemetery fund and to donate the other half to the church fellowship hall bathroom fund. Family members who work in construction expressed their willingness to help build a bathroom at the fellowship hall.
